The SmarTube encourages regular intake of liquid, which is important when exercising.
Ordinary water bottles can get dirty from dust and mud on the road. Reaching for a bottle can temporarily distract you from riding, or put you off balance. Exposed to the sun, the liquid inside can warm up, decreasing its quenching ability. The SmarTube system can solve all these problems.

When enjoying the outdoors, extreme temperatures can have an adverse effect on the liquid sitting in the SmarTube's drinking tube. Sunshine can make a cool beverage luke warm (blech!) and cold temperatures can make liquids uncomfortably cold or even frozen.
The Insulator Tube from SmarTube slides over the drinking tube to keep the liquid inside shielded from extreme temperatures. The insulator also works on Camelbak® and other hydration systems that use a 1cm OD tube.
